This was inspired by the fish in my garden pond.  I wanted to work with oranges and golds, and was very drawn to the gold and cream design on the plate that forms the edging of this piece. The contrasts of the deep blues and the oranges and golds were also exciting.

This 3D mosaic is created within a china platter acquired from a charity shop.  Ideal as a garden decoration within a border collecting rain water or as a centre piece on a garden table. Alternatively, it may be used as an interior decoration or it can be put to use as a fruit or vegetable bowl.

It is suitable for indoor or outdoor use and has been sealed with a specialist mosaic sealant which protects the mosaic from the weather and prevents mould. If you’d like to know more about how I create a mosaic including how secure the mosaic pieces are especially the garden pieces, please read my Studio Journal: A journey from chipped china to a final mosaic artwork.

Size: 14” x 11”

Currently being exhibited at the Mid Wales Arts Centre if you would like to see it in person.

Alternatively, I can arrange to have it delivered directly to you. Click here to go to Shipping & Delivery information.
