This piece was inspired by my wish to support the Curlew Connections Project across Mid Wales and beyond as numbers of Curlew in the Welsh uplands have been falling in recent years. If you’d like to know more please read my Studio Journal here.
I particularly enjoyed creating this piece as I like the golden colours of the Curlew's feathers when the sunlight catches them and the soft colours of the grasslands and water's edge in which they thrive.
The image displayed in a “virtual” room is for illustration purposes and is not representative of the actual dimensions. Please refer to the size information below.

If you’d like to know more about how I create a mosaic including how secure the mosaic pieces are and hanging the wall decorations, please read my Studio Journal: A journey from chipped china to a final mosaic artwork.
