ARTIST RESIDENCY AT CHARLOTTE CHURCH’S RETREAT CENTRE: THE DREAMING

I am honoured to have been chosen to contribute with other mosaic artists towards creating a mosaic on a wall in the beautiful grounds of what used to be Laura Ashley’s home.

As one of three mosaic artists who will be starting the project this summer, I will be working with a theme that emerged from one of Charlotte’s dreams. Using a natural, soft palette to reflect the colours of the landscape - trees, hills, rock and waterfalls. Within this there are golden beings weaving a river with joyful song, touches of gold reflecting light.

Such inspiring landscape, The Dreaming is surrounded by an ancient Celtic forest. It feels like bathing in healing light to stroll through the woodlands.
