THIS SEASON I AM OFFERING MOSAIC WORKSHOPS AND A MINDFULNESS RETREAT DAY AT MID WALES ARTS CENTRE
IN THE HEART OF MID WALES

MID WALES ARTS CENTRE, CAERSWS, NEAR NEWTOWN, POWYS

The beautiful venue of Mid Wales Arts Centre hosts a renowned contemporary art gallery, a cafe serving amazing, locally-sourced food, and is also a B&B venue.  It offers a range of creative classes including pottery, mosaics, print-making, life drawing and well-being classes such as tai chi.  It is a treat to come for the day or you may want to make a short break of it, perhaps attending one of the classes on the Thursday and Friday before the meditation day. May you embrace the day, not just as any old day, but as this day.  Your day.  Held in trust by you, in a singular place, called now.
Carrie Newcomer

This one-day retreat will be focusing on attuning to what we need in order to bring ourselves back into balance and healing.

Our busy lives often result in us forgetting ourselves and what we need at a body, mind, heart and soul level.  Our to-do lists and the, often unrealistic, expectations we have of ourselves take priority.  We all, no doubt, have experienced the consequences of this in terms of exhaustion, overwhelm, anxiety, low mood and feeling generally unhappy and joyless in life.  This happens because we have veered from the path of living a life that brings healing and fulfilment.

There is a time to take our lives in hand, but there is also a time to take our hands off our lives, and to leave what seems apparent and trust ourselves to the hidden. Marv and Nancy Hiles

The day will include guided meditations, self-reflection, poetry and a creative task. Weather-permitting, we will try to make use of the beautiful gardens for a walking practice.

No previous experience of meditation is required.
